After breaking for Thanksgiving, the Pitt-Johnstown men's basketball team will be back in action Monday night when Penn State Schuylkill visits the Sports Center for a non-conference match-up.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Head Coach Bob Rukavina, comes in at 3-2 to begin the year.  After posting a 2-0 record at the season-opening Mountain Cat Tip-Off Classic, Pitt-Johnstown suffered a loss at eighth-ranked West Liberty (WV), before splitting a pair of games in Florida prior to Thanksgiving.  After Monday's game at Lynn was postponed, the Mountain Cats were forced to play a pair of games on Tuesday.  Pitt-Johnstown defeated Lynn, 69-62, but suffered a, 94-75, setback to No. 4 Nova Southeastern just a few hours later.  
John Paul Kromka poured in a team-high 20 points a grabbed nine rebounds, while 
Ryan Smith had 12 points and seven boards.  Pitt-Johnstown also got a dozen points and five rebounds from 
Jared Jakubick, and 12 points from 
Drew Magestro.
 
Head Coach Travis Williams' Penn State Schuylkill Lions enter the match-up at 1-7.  The Lions dropped their first six games before holding off Penn State Greater Allegheny, 80-79, on Nov. 18.  Penn State Schuylkill the suffered a 77-71 setback to Penn State DuBois on Nov. 19.
 
Monday will mark the first ever meeting between Penn State Schuylkill and Pitt-Johnstown.
 
The Mountain Cats begin PSAC Crossover play at Bloomsburg on Friday and at East Stroudsburg on Saturday.  Pitt-Johnstown will then return home to host conference crossover doubleheaders with the women's team on Dec. 18 against West Chester and Dec. 19 against Millersville.  Both doubleheaders are scheduled to start at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center.
