
Ryan Smith scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Mountain Cats, but East Stroudsburg used hot shooting to secure a 92-60 PSAC Crossover victory over Pitt-Johnstown, Saturday night in East Stroudsburg.

After Smith's 3-pointer at 13:25 knotted it at 10, East Stroudsburg got hot and built a 33-16 advantage on Carlos Pepin's bucket seven minutes later.

Pitt-Johnstown, 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC, answered right back with six consecutive points, including a pair of
Elijah Sechler free-throws and a
Joe Batt bucket, to claw back to within 11 at 33-22 with 4:19 remaining in the opening half, but the Warriors regained control and took a 44-23 lead into the half.

East Stroudsburg picked up where it left off in the opening half and shot 54.3% in the second half, including connecting on seven three pointers, to build on its lead.

Along with Smith, Batt tallied 14 points and four rebounds,
Jared Jakubick had nine points and seven boards, and
Caiden Landis and
Drew Magestro each netted seven points for the Mountain Cats.

The Warriors, who remained unbeaten and improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in conference-play, was led by David Duda Jr.'s game-high 20 points and Pepin's 18 points and game-high 13 rebounds.

Pitt-Johnstown will be back in action on Dec. 18 and 19 when the Mountain Cats host PSAC Crossover doubleheaders with the women's team in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown will host West Chester on Dec. 18 starting at 1 p.m. and Millersville on Dec. 19 at 1 p.m.Â
