
In their second game of the day the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown softball team suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Lake Erie College.
The Mountain Cats had their hitting spread throughout their lineup as
Taylor Mendicino,
Kayla Miehl,
Tori Radvan,
Kelsi Terzolino,
Hannah Gnibus, and
Laura Fox all had one hit.
Gnibus's hit was a double that came in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Tori Radvan went the distance for the Mountain Cats. She gave up six hits, one of which was a homerun in the top of the fifth which gave Lake Erie the 1-0 lead that they held onto for the rest of the game. Radvan did not walk any batters and tallied three strikeouts.
Pitt-Johnstown will take on the College of Staten Island (NY) and Saint Michael's (VT) College on March 11th. These games are slated for 10:00 AM and 12:15 respectively. They then will face East Stroudsburg University and Stonehill (MA) College on the 12th. These games are scheduled to start at 9:00 AM and 11:15 AM respectively.
