Jenna Smith finished first in the 5,000-meter run at the 2022 Ed Fry Invitational. Smith's time was 20:35.64. She was not the only Mountain Cat that earned a top spot on the day. The 4x400 meter relay team also finished first with their time of 4:14.68.
Mayah Charity finished second in the 100-meter dash with her time of 12.33 seconds. Three more Mountain Cats rounded out the top-8 in that race as
Kara McKenzie finished sixth (12.84 seconds),
Abbey-Gale Brooks finished seventh (12.84 seconds), and
Trista Miller took home eighth (12.97 seconds).
Charity earned another second-place spot in the 200-meter dash. Her time was 26.08 seconds.
Lydia Robling (fourth place – 26.39 seconds),
Abbey-Gale Brooks (sixth place – 27.09 seconds), and
Trista Miller (seventh place – 27.60 seconds) all also competed in this race, earning respectable finishes.
Cassandra Smith and
Nicole Smiley finished second and third respectively in the 400-meter hurdles. Smith's time was 1:10.42 and Smiley was clocked at 1:14.41.
Paige Greathouse finished third in the 800-meter run. Her time was 2:37.42.
Lacey Greathouse earned a third place finish with her time of 2:41.35. Bethany Bednez finished seventh in this race. Her time was 3:04.83.
Lacey Greathouse also raced in the 1,500-meter run. She finished third with her time of 5:26.50. Bednez finished seventh. Her time was 6:11.34.
Kailyn Seixas finished seventh in the discus throw with her top mark of 22.30-meters.
In the jumps,
Lydia Robling finished sixth in the high jump with a top mark of 1.55-meters while
Janiah Tutt finished fourth in the long jump with a top distance of 4.97-meters.
Kate Yahner finished second in pole vault with a top height of 3.05-meters.
The Mountain Cats travel to Slippery Rock, PA for the Slippery Rock University Invitational on April 21st and then to Loretto, PA for the Saint Francis University Red Flash Open on April 30th.
