The 2022 Slippery Rock University – Dave Labor Invitational was the stage of a historic race for the Pitt-Johnstown women's track and field program.
In the 4x100-meter relay,
Trista Miller,
Kaela Grant,
Abbey-Gale Brooks, and
Mayah Charity ran a time of 50.65 seconds. This earned them a third-place finish on the day and puts them atop the Pitt-Johnstown record books. This time sets the new fastest 4x100-meter relay time in Mountain Cat history.
Charity also placed third in the 200-meter dash with her time of 26.31 seconds and fourth in the 100-meter dash with her time of 12.82 seconds.
Kate Yahner earned seventh in pole vault. Her top mark of 3.40-meters was good enough to qualify for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship meet at the end of the season.
Cassi Smith finished sixth in the 400-meter hurdles. Her time was 1.09.08.
Janiah Tutt had a high-jump of 1.45-meters. This earned her an eighth-place finish.

Pitt-Johnstown will travel to Indiana University (PA) on Saturday, April 9th to take part in the 2022 Ed Fry Invitational. The Mountain Cats will go back to Slippery Rock, PA for the Slippery Rock University Invitational on Thursday, April 21st.
