
University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Athletics history was made at this year's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship Meet.
Lydia Robling became the first-ever Pitt-Johnstown female track and field athlete to win a conference championship. She took home first place in the 400-meter dash. She won her preliminary heat with a time of 56.69 seconds on Friday to enter the finals as the favorite to take home first.
Robling also was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that set a new school record. Their time of 3:55.52 earned them a fifth-place podium spot. The group of Robling,

Kara McKenzie won heat one and bested four teams in the fast heat.
Charity also added to the Pitt-Johnstown Track and Field record book as her time in the 200-meter dash earned her the second-best time in program history. She finished with a time of 25.72 seconds.

Graduating senior,
Cassi Smith, competed in the 400-meter hurdles where she set a new personal best mark of 1:05.81. This time also

moves Cassi into third place all-time for UPJ athletes in the 400-meter hurdles.
Brooke Leithner finished thirteenth in the decathlon. Her highest score (581) came from a personal best in long jump of 5.08 meters. Her total score was 3386. This places her seventh all-time in UPJ program history.
Paige Greathouse finished sixteenth in the steeplechase with a time of 12:39.14.
Janiah Tutt tied for twelfth in the high jump with a top mark of 1.49 meters.
Kate Yahner earned an eleventh-place finish in pole vault with her top mark of 3.20 meters.
The 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place from May 26th-28thin Allendale, Michigan at the Grand Valley State University Track and Field Stadium.
