Following her historically successful 2022 season,
Lydia Robling has been selected for United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Honors. Robling is the first athlete in Pitt-Johnstown Track and Field history to be selected for this honor. Her time of 56.01 in the 400-meter run at the Saint Francis University Red Flash Open was the second-fastest time in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region on the year. This time also broke the school record and was just short of the national qualifying standard (only missing out by 0.03 seconds). It was also the 42
nd fastest time in the nation for all of Division II track and field during the 2022 season. Lydia was undefeated in the 400-meter run this outdoor season. She was also won the 400-meter run at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship Meet.
Lydia was a member of the school record setting 4x100 meter relay team. The group that also included
Mayah Charity,
Abbey-Gale Brooks, and
Kara McKenzie, posted a program best time of 48.40 seconds. This was the 12
th fastest 4x100 meter relay time in the Atlantic Region in the 2022 Outdoor Season.
Robling was the anchor for the school record setting 4x400 meter relay at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship Meet, which finished in 5
th place with a time of 3:55.52 (Charity, McKenzie, Brooks, Robling). That time was the 6
th fastest 4x400 in the Atlantic Region in the 2022 Outdoor Season.
