
Natalie Lippincott recorded a team-high seven kills and five digs in her second collegiate outing, but the hosts dealt the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team a 25-17, 25-17, 25-16 setback in Saturday's second round of the Fairmont State (WV) University Tournament. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 0-2.
The Mountain Cats also got six kills and a pair of block assists from
Mallory Pinske, six kills from
Elizah Wilson, and five kills and seven digs from
Lualis Alvarado.
Sophomore setter
Adiamar Beaz finished with nine digs and two blocks to go along with her match-high 23 set assists, while
Lexi Pendergraft's 12 digs tied for a match high.
Gabi DeRenzo tallied eight digs for Pitt-Johnstown.
The Falcons, now 3-0 to begin the season, were led by Nyla Birch's match-high 11 kills and three block assists. Fairmont State also got six kills and six block assists from Emma Ludwig, and three kills and three blocks assists from Madison Chapman in the three-set victory.
