After 11 straight matches on the road, the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team will make its 2022 home debut when it hosts a non-conference match against Salem (WV) University, Tuesday evening in the Sports Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Head Coach Morgan Mammosser's Pitt-Johnstown squad will make it's 2022 home debut on Tuesday. The Mountain Cars are 5-6 on the season after posting a 3-1 record last week, including a 3-0 mark at the Seton Hill Tournament over the weekend.
Lualis Alvarado averaged 13.6 kills and 9.5 digs to lead Pitt-Johnstown to victories over Point Park, Concord (WV), and Lock Haven.

Salem, under sixth-year
Coach Ashley Ziegle, slipped to 0-16 on the season after suffering losses to the hosts, Belmont Abbey (NC), Virginia State, and Bloomsburg at last weekend's Charleston (WV) Tournament.

Pitt-Johnstown and Salem have met eight times since the 2006 season and the Mountain Cats have won all eight match-ups, including a 3-0 sweep over the Tigers at the Fairmont State (WV) Tournament on August 27. Â
Alvarado had a match-high 10 kills and
Mallory Pinske added nine kills for Pitt-Johnstown. Salem was led by
Makhia Hinton's six kills.

Pitt-Johnstown opens PSAC West-play against California (PA) on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to a conference match at Gannon on Saturday.
