Morgan Kost netted her first goal of the season, and
Sachi Negri made five saves in goal to lead the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team to a 1-0 PSAC West victory at Clarion, Wednesday evening. The Mountain Cats evened their overall record at 2-2-2 overall and improved to 2-1-1 in conference-play.
Pitt-Johnstown took a 1-0 lead when Kost beat Clarion goalkeeper Alex Velez to the far right bottom corner in the 14
th minute.
That was all Negri and the Mountain Cats would need. Negri picked-up her second shutout of the year after facing 10 shots and making five saves.
Velez suffered the loss after surrendering the match's lone goal. Velez saw eight Pitt-Johnstown shots and made five saves for the Golden Eagles.

With the loss, Clarion dropped to 1-6-0 overall and 0-5-0 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Slippery Rock for a PSAC Western Division match on Saturday, before returning home to host a conference match against Indiana (PA) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
