Morgan Kost netted her first goal of the season, and Sachi Negri made five saves in goal to lead the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team to a 1-0 PSAC West victory at Clarion, Wednesday evening.  The Mountain Cats evened their overall record at 2-2-2 overall and improved to 2-1-1 in conference-play.
 
Pitt-Johnstown took a 1-0 lead when Kost beat Clarion goalkeeper Alex Velez to the far right bottom corner in the 14^th minute.
 
That was all Negri and the Mountain Cats would need. Negri picked-up her second shutout of the year after facing 10 shots and making five saves.
 
Velez suffered the loss after surrendering the match's lone goal.  Velez saw eight Pitt-Johnstown shots and made five saves for the Golden Eagles.
 
With the loss, Clarion dropped to 1-6-0 overall and 0-5-0 in the PSAC West.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Slippery Rock for a PSAC Western Division match on Saturday, before returning home to host a conference match against Indiana (PA) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
