The Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team will tip-off PSAC West play against California (PA), Friday night in the Sports Center. Match-time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Pitt-Johnstown, 6-6 overall under second-year
Head Coach Morgan Mammosser, made it four consecutive wins entering Friday's PSAC West opener against California (PA) by sweeping Salem (WV) 25-8, 25-14, 25-6, Tuesday evening in the Sports Center.
Lualis Alvarado had match-highs of 13 kills, a .632 hitting percentage, and five service aces and
Abi Leitner added seven kills.

Head Coach Peter Letourneau (12
th year) and the California (PA) Vulcans are 6-4 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC West following a three-set home loss to Gannon in Tuesday's conference-opener.Â
Allie Droneberger's 14 kills and
Alexa Malloy's 11 kills led the Vulcans.

Since first meeting in 2006, the Mountain Cats and Vulcans split 12 matches. However, California (PA) swept a pair of matches from Pitt-Johnstown last season. On Oct. 8, the Vulcans earned a 3-2 victory in the Sports Center, before securing a 3-1 win in California on Nov. 6.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC West match at Gannon on Saturday, before hosting Seton Hill on Sept. 23 and Mercyhurst on Sept. 24 to begin a stretch of three straight home conference matches.
