The Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team returns home to host a PSAC Western Division match against Indian (PA), Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
Pitt-Johnstown, under
Head Coach Vito Addalli, enters the match at 1-8-4 overall and 1-7-3 in the PSAC West. After suffering a 4-1 home loss to Slippery Rock last Wednesday, the Mountain Cats got a goal from
Haley Neidig and 10 saves from
Megan Giesey in a 1-1 draw at Edinboro on Saturday.
Head Coach Noreen Herlihy (2
nd Season) and the Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks are 4-5-3 overall and 3-5-2 in the PSAC West. Last Wednesday,
Julia Csernyik's goal gave IUP a 1-1 draw with Clarion. On Saturday, the Crimson Hawks fell at #20 Mercyhurst, 4-1.
Pitt-Johnstown visited IUP on Sept. 13 and the Crimson Hawks got a pair of goals from Elle Smith to secure a 3-2 victory.
Haley Neidig and
Lydia Roman each had a goal and an assist for the Mountain Cats.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC match at Seton Hill on Saturday, before ending the 2023 season with home matches against California (PA) on Oct. 25, and Mercyhurst on Oct. 28.
