Women’s Soccer Set to Host PSAC West Match Against California (PA) on Wednesday

Head Coach Vito Addalli and the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team will host a PSAC Western Division match against California (PA) as part of a doubleheader with the Mountain Cat men's team on Wednesday.  The women will take on the Vulcans at 12:30 p.m., before the men's team battles No. 19 Mercyhurst at 3 p.m.
 
Pitt-Johnstown is 2-9-4 overall and 2-8-3 in the PSAC West.  Sophia Lamesta had two goals and Haley Neidig added a goal and two assists in a 3-1 Mountain Cat win over IUP on Wednesday.  On Saturday, Pitt-Johnstown suffered a 4-1 loss at Seton Hill.
Head Coach Pete Curtis (6th Season) and the California (PA) Vulcans have lost five straight matches are 2-10-2 overall and 1-9-2 in the PSAC West following a 2-1 loss against Clarion on Saturday.  Lorina Romeis accounted for the Vulcans' goal against the Golden Eagles.

Pitt-Johnstown and California (PA) met in California on Sept. 20 and the Mountain Cats got a pair of goals from Neidig in a 2-1 victory.

Pitt-Johnstown will celebrate Senior Day with a PSAC West match against Mercyhurst on Saturday, before closing out the regular season with a conference match at Clarion on Nov. 3.
