
Shepherd scored a pair of second half goals to erase a 1-0 deficit and deal the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team a 2-1 non-conference loss on Monday in Shepherdstown, W.Va. in the completion of a match that was suspended due to lightning on September 9. The Mountain Cats are now 4-8-1 with one match remaining on the 2023 schedule.

Alexzander Toto's penalty kick goal just under six minutes into the match gave Pitt-Johnstown a 1-0 lead.
The Mountain Cats held that lead into the halftime break when lightning forced the match to be suspended.
On Monday, the Rams came out and quickly knotted it five minutes into the second half on a Asong Nkemanjong goal, before Mac Long's penalty kick goal in the 77
th minute put Shepherd on top for good.

Jacob Tichnell allowed both goals and suffered the loss. Tichnell faced 13 shots and made six saves.
Shepherd is now 3-10-3 on the season.
Pitt-Johnstown will close out the 2023 regular season with a PSAC Western Division match at nationally-ranked Gannon on Friday at noon.
