
Pitt-Johnstown junior outside hitter
Lualis Alvarado was selected the PSAC Western Division Volleyball Athlete of the Week by the conference office on Monday after averaging 18.0 kills, 7.3 digs, 2.3 block assists and 17.5 points in three Mountain Cat matches last week.
In a four-set non-conference win at Shippensburg on Tuesday, Alvarado recorded a career-high 25 kills with a .290 hitting percentage. She also had eight digs, a pair of block assists, and 26 points.
Alvarado then tallied a match-high 14 kills with a .333 hitting percentage, 10 digs, three block assists, and 16.5 points in Pitt-Johnstown's three set sweep over PSAC West rival Clarion, Friday evening in the Sports Center.
On Saturday, Alvarado wrapped-up her week with a team-high nine kills, four digs, two block assists, and 10 points in a home conference loss to Indiana (PA).
