STORY COMPLIMENTS OF TANNER MCQUALITY


In a midseason meet, the women's team took fourth place, scoring a team total of 65 points. There were three meet winners and three new PSAC qualifiers.
Senior
Brooke Leithner started out the meet on Thursday and Friday, finishing seventh in the women's heptathlon, scoring a total of 3642 points
The highlight on Saturday was senior
Kate Yahner winning the pole vault, clearing 3.57m (11' 8.5"), which was a meet and facility record, as well as a personal record. She now sits fifth in the PSAC rankings.
In the sprint events,
Mayah Charity (SO) and
Abbey-Gale Brooks (JR) finished third and fourth place, respectively, with times of 12.48 and 12.66. This was a personal record for Charity.
Alex Walton (FR) finished fourth with a personal record of 60.34, qualifying for the PSAC meet in May.
In the distance events,
Jenna Smith (SO) finished in a personal record of 5:00.94.
Paige Greathouse (SO) finished first in a personal record of 12.26.07, which qualifies her for the PSAC meet.
Kara McKenzie (JR) finished third in the 400m hurdles in a time of 66.06, while the 4x100m team of Charity, Brooks, Walton, and McKenzie finished first in a season best time of 48.97, which currently ranks fifth in the PSAC.
At the end of the running events, the same 4x100m team finished 2nd in the 4x400m team of Charity, Walton, Brooks, and McKenzie with a time of 4:06.95. In the field events,
Natalie Lippincott (FR) finished 4th in the high jump, clearing 1.56m, qualifying for the PSAC meet, as well as jumping 4.78m in the long jump.
