

The Pitt-Johnstown women's track and field team overcame a 45-minute high wind and lightning delay to come away with seven place-winners and three more PSAC Outdoor Championships Qualifiers following this weekend's Slippery Rock Dave Labor Invitational.Â
The Mountain Cats highest place came from the 4x100-Meter Relay team comprised of
Mayah Charity,
Alex Walton,
Abbey-Gale Brooks,and
Kara McKenzie, which placed second with a time of 49.31.
Brooks finished fourth and qualified for the PSAC Outdoor Meet in the 100-Meter Dash, while Charity's time of 12.74 in the 100-Meter also got her a spot in the PSAC Meet.
Brooks and Charity also had good showing in the 200-Meter Dash. Brooks finished seventh at 12.14, and Charity was 11th at 27.24.
Pitt-Johnstown also got a 10th-place finish from
Alex Walton in the 800-Meter Run (2:34.00) to round of the place-winners and qualifiers in the running events.
In the field events, Mountain Cat
Kate Yahner qualified for the PSAC Meet and placed fifth in the Pole Vault at 3.40 Meters, and
Natalie Lippincott come a way with a tie for seventh in the High Jump at 1,50 Meters.
