Lydia Roman and Haley Neidig both had productive days for Pitt-Johnstown, but it wasn't enough to overcome IUP in a 3-2 setback on Wednesday afternoon.
The Mountain Cats dropped to 0-4-1 on the year.
Neidig buried her third goal of the season in the 21st minute off an assist from Roman to pull Pitt-Johnstown within one at 2-1. The timely tally came just 43 seconds after Elle Smith's second goal of the game made it 2-0 Crimson Hawks (1-1-1).
In the 48th minute, IUP's Kristen Finnerty extended the lead to 3-1 off a looping corner ball assist from Rachel Kalkbrenner.
Roman found the back of the net on a free kick thanks to an assist from Neidig to make it 3-2 in the 68th minute. Neidig recorded another shot late in the 79th minute, but the Mountain Cats could not draw even.
Goalkeeper Megan Giesey was credited with five saves.
Pitt-Johnstown will play host to Seton Hill on Saturday at 2 p.m.
