After earning a conference road win on Wednesday, the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team returns home to host a PSAC West match against Edinboro on Saturday. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
Pitt-Johnstown, under
Head Coach Vito Addalli, is 1-5-1 overall and 1-4-0 in the PSAC West after picking up a 2-1 conference victory at California (PA) on Wednesday.
Haley Neidig scored both Mountain Cat goals, and
Abby Jackson had an assist.
Megan Giesey earned the win in goal after making a pair of saves.
Head Coach Gary Kagiavas (28
th season) and the Edinboro Fighting Scots slipped to 2-3-1 overall and 2-2-0 in the PSAC West following a narrow, 1-0 loss at Slippery Rock on Wednesday.
Kaylee Lauriel made eight saves for Edinboro.
Pitt-Johnstown and Edinboro battled to a pair of PSAC West draws in 2022. On Sept. 3 in Edinboro,
Mackenzie Stephens' goal in the 84
th minute helped the Mountain Cats secure a 2-2 draw, before the teams played to a 1-1 draw in Johnstown on Oct. 1.
The Mountain Cats travel to a PSAC West match at Mercyhurst next Saturday, before hosting a conference match against Clarion on Oct. 4 at 4 p.m.
