

Former Pitt-Johnstown standout right-handed pitchers Braxton Roxby and Dylan Heid took the next steps in their professional baseball career when they were promoted from High A to AA to for the remainder of the 2023 season.
Roxby, who last pitched for the Mountain Cats during the 2020 COVID-19-shortened season, was promoted by the Cincinnati Reds organization from the High A Dayton (OH) Dragons to the AA Chattanooga (TN) Lookouts. In 37 games with Dayton, Roxby posted a 4-4 record with a 2.96 ERA in 54.2 innings. Roxby collected four saves, struck out 67 and had a WHIP of 1.08.
Heid, who closed out his Pitt-Johnstown career in 2021, was promoted by the Baltimore Orioles organization from the Aberdeen (MD) Ironbirds to the AA Bowie Bay (MD) Sox. Heid made 30 appearances and posted a 5-2 record with a 2.55 ERA in 42.0 innings with the Ironbirds. He had four saves and a 1.12 WHIP.
