The Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team, coming off of a 1-1 draw at California (PA) last week, returns home to host a PSAC West match against Slippery Rock, Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Windber Stadium.
Head Coach Eric Kinsey and his Pitt-Johnstown squad enter the match at 3-6-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the PSAC West after last Wednesday's 1-1 draw at California (PA).
Ryan Kyei Boahen's goal in the 66
th minute knotted it at one, while
PJ Derksen made for saves in goal for the Mountain Cats.
Slippery Rock, under seventh-year
Head Coach Kevin Wilhelm is 3-3-3 overall and 0-1-2 in the PSAC West after Saturday's 2-1 non-conference win over Shepherd.
Arturo Pla Hernandis and
Aaron Finney accounted for the Rock's goals. Slippery Rock also suffered a 1-0 PSAC West loss to Lock Haven last Wednesday.
Last season, Slippery Rock swept a pair of matches from the Mountain Cats. On Sept 30, The Rock held on for a 3-2 win in Slippery Rock, before dealing the Mountain Cats a 3-0 loss at Central Cambria High School on Oct. 21.
The Mountain Cats travel to a PSAC West match at 16th-ranked Gannon on Saturday, before hosting a conference match against Lock Haven next Wednesday.
