Men’s Soccer Set to Host PSAC Match Against Lock Haven on Wednesday

The Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team returns home from a weekend trip host a PSAC West match against Lock Haven on Wednesday.  Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Windber Stadium
 
Coach Eric Kinsey, and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats, 3-8-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the PSAC West, look to bounce back from a, 5-0, setback at 13th-ranked Gannon on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown goalkeepers PJ Derksen and Jacob Tichnell combined to make nine saves against the Golden Knights.
 
Lock Haven which came over to the PSAC West from the East in 2024 after the departure of Mercyhurst, has won three straight matches and is 7-4-1 overall and 4-1-0 in conference-play under seventh-year Coach Patrick Long.  The Bald Eagles earned a 3-0 PSAC win at Seton Hill last Wednesday and a 2-1 non-conference win at Shippensburg on Saturday.
 
In the last meeting on Oct. 2, Connor Swope's hattrick led Lock Haven to a 4-2 home win over the Mountain Cats.  Alexzander Toto and Jack Moyer scored the Pitt-Johnstown goals.
 
The Mountain Cats visit Slippery Rock for a PSAC match on Saturday, before hosting a conference match against California (PA) next Wednesday.
