The Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team returns home after playing straight road matches to host a hon-conference match against Shippensburg, Tuesday evening in the Sports Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Head Coach Justin Haupt and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats enter the match at 15-6 after suffering a 3-0, PSAC Western Division loss at Slippery Rock Last Tuesday.
Lualis Alvarado collected a team-high 12 kills and 10 digs, while
Ellie Zuro added 10 kills for Pitt-Johnstown.
Shippensburg, under 21

Head Coach Leanne Piscotty, comes in at 12-10 after having its nine-match winning streak snapped with a 3-0 loss at Shepherd on Saturday. Emily Gardner led the way for the Red Raiders with 11 kills against the Rams.
Since 2005, the Red Raiders lead the series, 13-6, but the Mountain Cats earned a five-set win in Shippensburg last year. Alvarado had a match-high 25 kills to lead Pitt-Johnstown, while
Gracen Nutt had 14 kills for Shippensburg.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC matches at Gannon and Edinboro on Friday and Saturday, before hosting conference matches against California (PA) on Nov. 8 and Seton Hill for Senior Day on Nov. 9.
