Four Earn Spots on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women’s Soccer Team

Pitt-Johnstown's Rylee Fry, Kristen Horgan, Haley Neidig, and Kaitlyn Pavusek all on spots on the 2024 Division II College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team when this year's recipients were released on Tuesday.
 
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 11, 2024.
 
Neidig a senior midfielder/forward and three-time First-Team All-PSAC West selection from South Williamsport, Pa., led the team in goals (7) and points (16).  She also had a pair of assists.  Neidig has a 3.62 GPA in Civil Engineering.
 
Pavusek, a Second-team All-PSAC West choice is 2024, started all 16 matches as a sophomore defender in 2024.  Pavusek, a native of Palmyra, Pa., has a 3.97 overall GPA in Nursing.
 
Fry has a 3.67 GPA in Eary Childhood Education.  The sophomore forward from Mechanicsburg, Pa. played in 17 matches and had two assists, while Horgan started all 17 matches as a defender and had one assist.  Horgan, a native of Pittsburgh, has a 3.89 GPA in Biology.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
