Pitt-Johnstown's Rodney Shultz, already named the PSAC Western Division Pitcher of the Week after tossing a no-hitter against Mercyhurst on Saturday, was selected the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.

The junior right-hander from Tyrone, Pa. held Mercyhurst hitless in a 1-0 Mountain Cat victory to begin a four-game conference series in Erie, Saturday afternoon.  Shultz, who needed just 90 pitches and faced just one batter over the minimum, struck out eight and only allowed one walk.

He will now be on the ballot for the NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week.  Results of that vote will be released later this week.
