Brooke Pelloni collected 10 kills, and
Lualis Alvarado and
Mallory Pinske each had nine kills to lead Pitt-Johnstown to its sixth consecutive victory to start the season with a 3-0 sweep over the hosts in Friday's second round of the St. Thomas Aquinas Tournament in Sparkhill, NY.

Following a tight, 25-20 win in the opening set, the Mountain Cats earned 25-14 and 25-18 wins to close out the sweep.

Alvarado added a service ace to go along with her nine kills, while Pinske had three blocks with her nine kills. Pitt-Johnstown also got five kills, seven digs, and a pair of blocks from
Natalie Lippincott and five kills and two blocks from
Dannika Susko.

Adiamar Beaz's match-high 30 set assists and eight digs, and
Gabriella DeRenzo's match-high 16 digs, four assists, and one assist led the way for the Mountain Cats.

The Spartans were led by Evie Paalman's match-best 11 kills and 13 digs, and Greta Santino's seven kills, eight digs, and two blocks.

With the loss, St. Thomas Aquinas slipped to 3-3 on the year.

Pitt-Johnstown will close out the weekend with a pair of matches at Queens College in Flushing, NY on Saturday. The Mountain Cats will take on hosts at 10 a.m., before playing St. Anselm (NH) at noon.
