Dannika Susko combined for 22 kills to help the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team tip-off Friday's St. Thomas Aquinas Tournament in Sparkhill, NY with a 25-23, 25-23, 25-15 sweep over Assumption (MA). The Mountain Cats improved to 5-0.

After a pair of tight sets, the Mountain Cats broke open the third set to coast to the sweep.

Alvarado finished with a match-high 14 kills, one service ace, a block assist, and five digs, while Susko added eight kills and two block assists to pace Pitt-Johnstown.Â
Natalie Lippincott had five kills, a block assist, and five digs, and
Brooke Pelloni had five kills and three blocks assists.Â
Mallory Pinske tallied four assists and four blocks.

The Mountain Cats also got a match-high 38 set assists and 10 digs from
Adiamar Beaz, and a match-best 24 digs from
Gabriella DeRenzo in the three-set win.

The Greyhounds, which fell to 0-5, were led by Alexis Distasio's 13 kills and Carly Goodhue's nine kills.
