The Pitt-Johnstown women's cross country took home fourth place out of seven teams at the Bethany College Invitational on Saturday.
The Mountain Cats enjoyed four top 25 finishers, including three freshmen, out of 79 total competitors.
Freshman Sydney Dunn captured eighth place honors after completing the course in 24:40.4. Fellow first-year competitor Audra Fedor was right behind her in ninth place with a time of 24:45.3.
Junior Ava Barker checked in at 18th place with a time of 26:00.4. Freshman Ava Menzies finished in 25th with a time of 26:48.6.
Freshman Marissa DeNezza was 57th after completing the course in 30:59.4. Kara McKenzie was close behind at 62nd with a time of 31:46.0. Gabi Klingenberg was 68th and Kaela Grant rounded out the Pitt-Johnstown competitors at 74th place.
Grove City ran away with the team title with a score of 50. Gannon took second place with a score of 65. Alexis Abbett and Emily Bowers, both of Gannon, finished first and second, respectively.
The Mountain Cats will take two weeks off before competing in the Lock Haven University Invitational on Sept. 28.
