The Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team returns home to host a PSC Western Division match against Indiana (PA), Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Richland High School.
First-year
Head Coach Aideen O'Donoghue and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats enter the match at 2-2-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the PSAC West after suffering a narrow, 2-0, setback at fifth-ranked Gannon on Saturday.
Emma Morin faced 27 shots from the Golden Knights and made seven saves.
Indiana (PA) under third-year
Head Coach Noreen Herlihy, is 2-0-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the PSAC West. The Crimson Hawks started the season with a, 2-1, win at Frostburg State (MD), before getting goals from
Kristen Finnerty and
Avery Clanton in last Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Clarion in their PSAC opener.
Last season, IUP earned a 3-2 win in Indiana on Sept. 13, but Pitt-Johnstown responded with a 3-1 victory in Johnstown on Oct. 18.
Sophia Lamesta had two goals, and
Haley Neidig added a goal and two assists for the Mountain Cats.
The Mountain Cats travel to a PSAC West match at Seton Hill on Saturday, then host a conference match against California (PA) next Wednesday.
