Pitt-Johnstown played to a scoreless tie in the first half, but allowed two goals over the final 45 minutes that accounted for the difference in a 2-0 loss to D'Youville University on Wednesday evening at Windber Stadium.
Shawn Richardson notched both goals for the Saints. He first scratched the scoreboard on a penalty kick in the 51st minute and then added another in the 59th minute off an assist from Paulo Carvalho.
The Mountain Cats, who dropped to 2-3 on the year, racked up eight total shots, three of them on goal.
Goalkeeper PJ Derksen played nearly 83 minutes, allowing two tallies and making two saves, before being subbed out in favor of Jacob Tichnell for the final seven-plus minutes. D'Youville (1-4) had 15 shots, four of them on goal.
The Mountain Cats will visit Central Penn College on Monday in their penultimate non-conference matchup.
