Head Coach Justin Haupt and the Pitt-Johnstown women's volleyball team will make their 2024 home debuts with a non-conference match against Point Park, Tuesday evening in the Sports Center.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Led by last week's PSAC West Athlete of the Week Lualis Alvarado, the Mountain Cats come in with an 11-1 overall record after opening the season at three tournaments.  Pitt-Johnstown went 3-1 with wins over Chestnut Hill, Shepherd, and Elizabeth City State (NC) at last weekend's IUP Crimson Hawk Classic.

Point Park, under sixth-year Head Coach Bridget Bielich, enters the match at 1-7 after suffering losses to Frostburg State (MD), California (PA), and Bloomsburg at the California (PA) Vulcan Classic over the weekend.

Last year, the Mountain Cats and Pioneers met in Pittsburgh on Oct. 3, and Point Park secured a four-set victory.  Caroline Knight had seven kills for Pitt-Johnstown, while Eden McElhaney finished with a match-high 16 kills for the Pioneers.

Pitt-Johnstown opens PSAC West-play against Slippery Rock on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Sports Center, before going to Edinboro on Oct. 4 and Gannon on Oct. 5 for two more conference matches.
