The Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team will wrap-up its non-conference portion of the schedule with a home match against Washington Adventist (MD), Thursday afternoon at Windber Stadium. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cats evened their record at 3-3-0 with a 5-1 non-conference win at Central Penn on Monday. Five different Mountain Cats scored goals, and
Jaeger James had a pair of assists.
Third-year
Head Coach Daniel Carroll, and the Washington Adventist Shock enter the match at 0-2-1 following last Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Bridgewater College.
Ben Cooksley and
Linus Schomann scored the goals for Washington Adventist.
Since 2005, the Mountain Cats hold a 9-7-1 advantage in the series. After playing to a 2-2 draw in Johnstown in 2022, Washington Adventist earned a 2-0 win in Takoma Park, MD last year on Sept. 4.
Jacob Tichnell faced 14 shots and made five saves for the Mountain Cats.
Pitt-Johnstown will begin PSAC West action at Lock Haven on Wednesday, before hosting a conference match against Seton Hill on Oct. 5.
