Ellie Zuro each had a dozen kills to lead a balanced Pitt-Johnstown attack that saw five Mountain Cats record five kills or more in a three-set sweep over Jefferson in Friday's Second Round of the West Chester PSAC East Kick-Off Tournament.

Pitt-Johnston took down the Rams, 25-17, 25-20, and 25-20 to start the season at 2-0 with a pair of sweeps.

Alvarado finished with 12 kills, nine digs and two service aces, and Zuro hit .310 and collected 12 kills to pace Pitt-Johnstown, which ended the match with 10 aces.Â
Natalie Lippincott and
Dannika Susko totaled nine and seven kills, respectively, while
Mallory Pinske had five kills.

Adiamar Beaz collected a match-high 43 set assists and four digs, and
Gabriella DeRenzo had match-high 16 digs and two aces. The Mountain Cats also got seven digs and two aces from
Jessica Krug and six digs from
Karin Ilagan.

Emily McKenna and Pemi Areola each had six kills for Jefferson, now 0-2 to start the year.

Pitt-Johnstown will conclude the weekend at the Millersville University Marauders' Clash on Saturday with matches against Charleston (WV) at 1 p.m. and Roberts Wesleyan (NY) at 3 p.m.
