Ellie Zuro collected a match-high 16 kills and three block assists in her Pitt-Johnstown debut to lead the Mountain Cats to a season-opening sweep over the hosts in Friday's First Round of the West Chester PSAC East Kick-Off Tournament.

Pitt-Johnstown finished with a .398 hitting percentage, while holding the Rams to just a .108 hitting percentage on its way to the 25-16, 25-15, 25-19 sweep.

Along with Zuro's efforts,
Lualis Alvarado had seven kills, a pair of service aces, and six digs, and
Dannika Susko had seven kills for the Mountain Cats.Â
Natalie Lippincott tallied six kills, and
Mallory Pinske had three kills, to solo blocks, and a match-high five block assists.

Adiamar Beaz led the way for Pitt-Johnstown with a match-high 27 set assists to go along with two aces, and five digs, while
Gabriella DeRenzo chipped-in a team-high eight digs and five assists.Â
Jessica Krug also had five digs.

Anna Richardson and Abiah Lane had nine and five kills, respectively for West Chester in its first match of the 2024 season.
