Baseball Picked Sixth in PSAC West Preseason Coaches Poll

The Pitt-Johnstown baseball team, under first-year coach George Roberts, has been picked to finish sixth in the eight team Western Division when this year's PSAC Preseason Coaches Poll was released on Thursday.

2024 Atlantic Region Champion Indiana (PA) received four first-place votes and sits atop the PSAC Western Division Poll, while Slippery Rock (3 first-place votes) and Seton Hill (1 first-place vote) are second and third, respectively.  In the PSAC Eastern Division, West Chester got three first-place votes and is the top pick, followed by Millersville, which also garnered three first-place votes, and East Stroudsburg (2 first-place votes).

The Mountain Cats are scheduled to open the 2025 season with a three-game, non-conference series at Concord (WV) on Feb. 15-16.  Pitt-Johnstown is slated to make it home debut with a non-conference game against Penn State-Beaver on Feb. 25 at Point Stadium.
