Cam Wagner's first half tally proved to be the lone goal of the match and lifted Pitt-Johnstown to a 1-0 non-conference victory over Chestnut Hill, Tuesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Mountain Cats, who improved to 5-1-0 in non-conference matches, are now 6-3-1 on the year.
Wagner finished a cross in the box from
Roberto Lozano 21 minutes into the match with what turned out to be the match-winner.
Pitt-Johnstown, which held the better of the play for much of the match, outshot the Griffins 21-13, including putting 12 of those shots on goal.
Pau Cano,
Ryan Kyei Boahen, and Wagner combined for 14 shots and seven shots on goal.
Jacob Tichnell picked up the win after making one save over the first 45 minutes.
Sebastian Roman Rivera played the second half in goal and made a pair of saves for the Mountain Cats.

Max Bond made 10 saves but allowed on the one goal for Chestnut Hill, which slipped to 6-6-1 overall.
The Mountain Cats will celebrate Senior Day with a PSAC West match against Slippery Rock on Saturday at noon, before traveling to conference matches at California (PA) on Oct. 12 and Gannon on Oct. 25.
