For the second time this season, Pitt-Johnstown freshman
Griffin Hansberry was named PSAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week when the conference office announce this week's award winners on Wednesday.
Hansberry climbed six spots in Tuesday's final round of the Tiffin Kyle Ryman Memorial at Mohawk Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio to tie for second and lead the Mountain Cats to a third-place finish in the 13-team field.
After opening the tournament at 2-under following Monday's first two rounds, Hansberry shot 2-under par on Tuesday to tie for second with Tiffin's Daniel Aitken at -4.
On Sept. 24, Hansberry was name PSAC Men's Golf Co-Athlete of the Week with West Chester's Paul-Arthur Roth after winning medalist honors at 2-under par and leading the Mountain Cats to the team championship at the California (PA)/Wheeling (WV) University Hannastown Collegiate Invitational in Greensburg.
