Head Coach Bob Rukavina and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats will host a non-conference game against Penn State-Greater Allegheny, Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
The Mountain Cats come in at 4-2 after a pair of lopsided non-conference wins last week.
Baden Forup posted a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, and
Vinnie Cugini added 17 points to pace five Pitt-Johnstown double-figure scorers in a 92-75 win over Point Park last Tuesday in the Sports Center. Forup followed that up with 18 points and a career-high 14 boards to lead the Mountain Cats to a 92-71 win at Davis & Elkins (WV) on Saturday.
Jay Rose tallied a game-high 20 points as eight Mountain Cats scored seven or more points against the Senators.
Penn State-Greater Allegheny, under
Head Coach Denzell London, was 2-4 prior to Monday's game at Salem (WV). The Lions picked-up a 72-70 win over Grove City on Nov. 21 behind 20 points from
Biagio Crossley and 18 points and five rebounds from
Elijah Hannon.
Since first meeting during the 2003-04 season, the Mountain Cats hold an 8-0 advantage in the series. Last season, the teams met in the Sports Center on Nov. 13 and Pitt-Johnstown came away with a 112-68 victory.
Ryan Smith had 18 points and
Forup added 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead six Mountain Cat double-figure scorers.
Bryce Philips' 13 points and
Hannon's 10 points and game-high 12 rebounds guided the Lions.
The Mountain Cats begin PSAC West Crossover-play at West Chester on Saturday, before returning home to host a non-conference game against West Virginia Wesleyan on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
