The Pitt-Johnstown men's track and field team secured a 7th place finish at Slippery Rock's John Papa Invitational on Thursday.
The Mountain Cats secured 37 points, 13 of those coming in the distance events to help them finish above PSAC schools IUP and Edinboro in the 14-team field.Â
Freshman Aiden Lechleitner enjoyed a runner-up finish in the 3000-meter Steeplechase with a time of 9:58.75, locking up eight points in the process.
Noah Lee recorded a time of 50.47 seconds to check in at 7th and pick up two points in the 400-meter dash.
The 4x400-meter relay team that consisted of Damian Blum, Domenion Jacobs, Marcello Legister and Noah Lee took 5th place out of 13 teams with a time of 3:31.42 to earn four points.
As for the field events, Noah Ser collected five points after leaping 1.95 meters in the high jump. Isaiah Dyer recorded 12.98 meters in the triple jump to capture 5th place and four points.
Hunter Johnson was 7th out of 22 competitors in the long jump at 6.78 meters to collect two points.
Pitt-Johnstown will be idle for more than a week before participating in the Saint Francis University Red Flash Open on April 26.
