Eli Ropietski finished in a four-way tie for 24
th-place at +12 to lead the Pitt-Johnstown golfers to a sixth-place finish at this weekend's 2025 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Region Championships at the Par 72 Whispering Woods Golf Club in Erie.

The Mountain Cats, who made their third overall and second straight appearance in the regional championships, improved four spots from last year's 10
th-place finish.

Davis and Elkins and then hosts Gannon both ended the tournament at +24 to sit atop of the standings, and Charleston (WV) placed third-place at +39. All three teams will advance to the Division II National Championships at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., May 19-23. St. Thomas Aquinas was fourth (+44), Livingstone placed fifth (+45), and Pitt-Johnstown finished sixth at 54-over-par in the 20-team field.

Davis & Elkins' Aidan Talent shot 3-under-par to hold off Gannon's Rasmus Seppanen by one shot to claim the individual regional crown.

After opening the tournament with a 77 on Thursday, Ropietski followed with a one-over-par, 73 on Friday, before ending with a 78 on Saturday to tie for 24
th at +12.

Mario Battaglia shot 77, 78, 75 to tie for 33
rd-place at +14, while
Mauricio Hernandez (78, 78, 77) and
Justin Scally (74, 79, 80) to tie for 42
nd-place, and
Lucas Smith climbed 13 spots to 49
th with his 3-over, 75 on Saturday. Smith shot 77 in the opening round and 83 on Friday.
