was selected Second-Team All-PSAC West Baseball for the second straight year when this year's honors were released by the conference office on Tuesday. Voting was done by the PSAC baseball coaches.
Turcovski, a North Huntingdon, Pa. native and Irwin High School graduate, led the Mountain Cats in nearly every offensive statistical category, including his .323 (50-155) batting average. He started all 48 of Pitt-Johnstown's games and paced the team in at-bats (155), hits (50), runs (29), doubles (7), homeruns (7), RBI (28), and slugging percentage (.529). Turcovski also tied for the team lead with two triples and 17 walks, and was a perfect 10-of-10 in stolen bases.
California (PA) designated hitter Payton Conte was selected PSAC Western Division Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season, and Seton Hill's Ian Korn was named Pitcher of the Year. In addition, Seton Hill's Brady McGuire was the Freshman of the Year and Cal U's Mike Conte was chosen by his peers as the Coach of the Year.
In the PSAC Eastern Division, Mansfield's Jacob Houtz was named the Athlete of the Year and Shippensburg's Jaxon Dalenawas tabbed the Pitcher of the Year, while West Chester's Caleb Strawhecker garnered Freshman of the Year honors, and Millersville's Jon Shehan was selected the Coach of the Year.
