Aideen O'Donoghue and the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer program will celebrate Alumni Day and open PSAC Western Division-play against Clarion on Saturday. Kick-off is scheduled for noon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
The Mountain Cats come in a 0-0-2 after starting the season with a 1-1 home draw against Tiffin on Sept. 4 and a 0-0 draw at West Virginia Wesleyan last Sunday.
Third-year Head Coach Jason Edwards' Clarion squad is 0-3-0 following a 3-1 non-conference loss at Fairmont State (WV) on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles also suffered a 5-4 loss Ursuline (OH) to begin the year on Sept. 4 and a 2-1 loss to Malone (OH) last Saturday.
Since first meeting in 2005, Clarion holds an 11-5-2 record in the all-time series. However, the Mountain Cats swept a pair of games from the Golden Eagles last season. on Oct. 9 in Clarion,
Haley Neidig scored two goals in a 4-0 Pitt-Johnstown win, before
Lydia Roman netted a pair of goals in a 4-0 win in Johnstown on Nov. 9.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC West matches at Edinboro next Saturday and Indiana (PA) on Sept. 24, before returning home to host a conference match against Gannon on Sept. 27 at 2:30 p.m.
