Ellie Zuro Cirino, selected to the Frostburg State (MD) Invitational All-Tournament Team, was named PSAC West Volleyball Athlete of the Week on Monday after averaging 16.3 kills, 17.9 points, 8.0 digs, and 1.0 services aces in four matches last week.
In Tuesday's 2025 home-opener against Point Park in the Sports Center, Zuro Cirino collected a match-high 16 kills on a .324 hitting percentage, 17.5 points, nine digs, a block assist, and one ace in the Mountain Cats' 3-0 sweep.
Zuro Cirino then tipped-off the Frostburg State Invitational with a career-high 19 kills, 20.5 points, six digs, and a block assist in a 3-1 win over the host, before breaking her career-high in kills with 22 and a .413 hitting percentage in a four-set loss to Shippensburg on Saturday. Zuro Cirino also tallied a career-best 24.0 points, six digs, an assist, and ace and a solo block.
In the Frostburg State Invitational finale setback to Ohio Dominican, Zuro Cirino finished with a team-high eight kills, three digs, one ace, and one block assist.
