Eric Kinsey and the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team made its first road trip of the 2025 season and scored three first half goals on their way to a 4-2 non-conference victory at Washington Adventist, Friday afternoon in Takoma Park, Md.
Pau Cano and
Noah Pawling each had a goal and an assist to lead the Mountain Cats, now 2-0-0 to begin the year.
The Mountain Cats got off to a quick start and used an own goal five minutes into the match to open the scoring.
Noah Pawling finished an assist from Cano in the 18th minute, and
Jaeger James' penalty kick beat Washington Adventist goalkeeper Michael Delcid in the 32
nd minute to give the Mountain Cats a commanding, 3-0 halftime advantage.
After Pawling set up Cano for a goal of his own eight minutes into the second half to extend it to 4-0, Washington Adventist's Victor Perez found the back of the net in the 72
nd minute to break the shutout, then scored off of a free kick with a minute to play to set the final at 4-2.


Pitt-Johnstown outshot the Shock 18-5 and had 15 shots on goal.
Mountain Cat freshman goalkeeper
Sebastian Roman Rivera picked up the win in his collegiate debut after allowing two goals and making a pair of saves.
Delcid suffered the loss after surrendering all five goals and making 10 saves for Washington Adventist, now 1-3-0.
Pitt-Johnstown finishes a stretch of three consecutive road matches at Penn State-New Kensington on Sunday and at Shepherd (WV) on Wednesday, before returning home to host a non-conference match against Central Penn on Sept. 27 at noon at the UPJ Soccer Field.
