Aideen O'Donoghue and the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team, picked fifth in the PSAC Western Division Preseason Coaches Poll, will begin the 2025 season with a home match against Tiffin (OH) on Thursday. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Richland High School. If there is inclement weather, the match will be moved to Pitt-Johnstown's on-campus field.
Last season, the Mountain Cats were 8-7-2 overall and earned the program's first berth in the PSAC Tournament with a 6-6-2 mark in conference-play.
Tiffin, picked 12th in the G-MAC Preseason Coaches Poll, were 1-15-2 overall and 1-11-2 in the G-MAC a year ago.
In the only other meeting between the Mountain Cats and Dragons, Tiffin earned a 7-2 victory over Pitt-Johnstown at the University of Findlay (OH) Tournament on Sept. 15, 2007.
Following Thursday's 2025 opener, Pitt-Johnstown visits West Virginia Wesleyan for a non-conference match on Sunday, before starting PSAC West action and celebrating Alumni Day with a home match against Clarion on Sept. 13 at noon.
