Aberdeen, Md. — Brian Pirone threw a complete game gem with five strikeouts to lift Pitt-Johnstown to a 2-0 victory over East Stroudsburg on Saturday morning in a game that was suspended on Friday because of fog.
The Mountain Cats split the doubleheader and moved to 4-2 on the year.
The game was suspended in the top of the fifth inning. That didn't phase Pirone, who limited the Warriors to only three hits and none over the final three innings.
Pitt-Johnstown recorded six hits, including two from Alex Ebeling, who also scored a run. He singled to begin a rally with two outs in the third. Brody Roberts followed with a walk before Zac LeGars ripped a 2-RBI double that proved to be the difference.
Tyler Danko added a double, and Calvin Iseminger and Wesley Conville each had a base-hit.
