Just one day after being named PSAC West Pitcher of the Week, Pitt-Johnstown red-shirt senior right-hander Jared Dowey garnered National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week honors.

In one start last week, Dowey tossed five scoreless innings in an 11-2 Mountain Cat victory over East Stroudsburg in Sunday's finale of a four-game non-conference series at the Cal Ripken Complex in Aberdeen, Md.  Dowey limited the Warriors to just one hit, while striking out seven and walking two.

Pitt-Johnstown is now 5-3 on the season and ranked 10th in the NCBWA Atlantic Region rankings,
