

Pitt-Johnstown struggled to limit the Seton Hill offense Friday afternoon, dropping both games of PSAC West doubleheader the 16th-ranked Griffins.
Seton Hill got the bats going early and scored 11 runs in the first two innings in a 14-2 victory in the opener, before taking the nightcap, 6-1.

The Mountain Cats fell to 13-22 (4-10 PSAC) with two more against the Griffins tomorrow.

The Mountain Cats allowed four runs in the first inning and chipped away in the bottom half.Â

Alex Ebeling,
Karson Reffner, and
Calvin Iseminger loaded the bases for
Crusen Stover, who drove two in with a single to right.Â

From there, the Griffins' offense exploded for seven more runs, making it 11-2.Â

Ebeling added a second single and
Lucas Muffie collected a single, but Pitt-Johnstown could not push them across.

Seton Hill continued to drive in runs, scoring three more runs.

Jimmy Kunst suffered the loss going one and two-thirds.
Ben Tomb added three and one-third innings and
Adam Radkowski closed it out with two scoreless.

The nightcap was a slightly closer matchup, but the Mountain Cats got behind early following a two-run homer from the Griffins in the second inning.

Seton Hill added another run in the fourth before scoring three in the fifth.Â

Pitt-Johnstown did respond with a run, following a single from
Jacob Cramer and a run-scoring double from
Tyler Danko, but that's all the Mountain Cats could do offensively.

Brian Pirone suffered the loss, tossing five innings, allowing six runs and striking out seven.
Baron Dionis tossed two scoreless innings to close it out.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to Greensburg to take on Seton Hill for a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday.
