Men's Golf Tied for 15th as Darkness Suspends Second Round at Sunnehanna Collegiate

Play was suspended due to darkness late in the second round of the Pitt-Johnstown Sunnehanna Collegiate on Monday, leaving the Mountain Cats' "A" team tied for 15th and the "B" team in 18th after 14-16 holes of round two at Sunnehanna Country Club.

Play will resume Tuesday morning with the completion of the second round, followed immediately by the final round.

Eli Ropietski leads the Mountain Cats, sitting tied for 24th at 3-over par through 15 holes of the second round. He opened with an even-par 72 in round one before playing to 3-over on his round so far.

Lucas Smith is tied for 60th at 8-over, following an opening 78 with a 2-over effort through 15 holes Monday afternoon. Kooper Mackay sits tied for 69th at 9-over, carding a 75 in the first round before slipping to 6-over through 15 holes in the second. Griffin Hansberry is tied for 73rd at 10-over, backing up his 79 with a 3-over round through 15 holes. Giovanni Vezza is tied for 79th at 11-over, following his own 79 with a 4-over round through 15 holes.

Pitt-Johnstown's "A" team stands at 28-over through two incomplete rounds (16-over, 11-over), tied for 15th with Ohio Dominican in the 18-team field.

On the "B" squad, Cammie Pike leads the way tied for 52nd at 7-over, following a first-round 77 with a 2-over effort through 15 holes Monday. Mark Yan is tied for 84th at 12-over, matching his first-round 6-over with another 6-over through 15 holes. Jack Millard sits tied for 94th at 14-over, and Toby Osborne is tied for 97th at 16-over after rebounding from an 11-over first round with a 5-over effort through 15 holes. Dom Cerilli is tied for 99th at 17-over. Golfing as an individual entrant for the Mountain Cats, David Razinskas is tied for 84th at 12-over. Pitt-Johnstown's "B" team is 47-over through two rounds and stands 18th in the team standings.

Rollins holds the team lead at 4-under par behind rounds of 1-under and 3-under,one shot ahead of Lee in second at 3-under. Catawba sits third at 1-over. Rollins' Sean Dobson leads individually at 6-under par through 14 holes of his second round, with Lee's Billy Boroughs two shots back at 4-under.

Following the Sunnehanna Collegiate, Mountain Cats will next travel to the Tiffin University Kyle Ryman Memorial on Oct. 5 and 6, and to the 2026 PSAC Men's Golf Championships at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, Pa., Oct. 16-18.
