Volleyball Falls to Gannon to Open PSAC Crossover

Kelsey Shanabrook had 14 kills, and 16 digs, and Marissa Erminio added 10 kills and 13 digs, but it wasn't enough, as the Lady Cats suffered a five set loss to Gannon University in Friday's first round of the PSAC crossover in the Sports Center. With this loss, Pitt-Johnstown fell to 13-5 overall and 7-3 conference play.

Pitt-Johnstown opened with a 25-19 win in the opening set. Gannon answered with a 25-20 victory, before the Lady Cats went up 2-1 with a 25-21 win in the third set. The Golden Knights closed out the match with 25-19 and 15-12 wins.

Along with Shanabrook, Beth Kendera chipped in nine kills and two blocks while Katie Svetahor added 17 digs. Allison Mondorff finished with 34 assists and Brittany Saetre had 10 digs.

Hannah Kren finished with a game-high 21 kills and Emily Carver added 14 kills to lead Gannon, which improved to 12-7 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
